God Speaks

I have to share with you the many different ways God finds to have talks with us. For some of us it's through a song, for some it is during prayer and for some it's just living and noticing things, for many it's during dreams. The thing I have found is that very rarely is it through chaos. I said a few weeks back that I asked God to show me that He was there and as I sat writing in my prayer journal outside enjoying the sunrise, a breeze gently blew and the leaf moved, but I sit there watching the tree in front of me. Yes, I was waiting for the tree to bend and stand back up or something big and earth shattering when I know that God often comes in a still small voice.

Our problem is this we hear God, but if it's not what we want to hear then we just keep waiting on another answer and this is what happens we miss our opportunity to be blessed, move, or whatever it is God has for us do. Though He has given us ample opportunity to hear Him and take heed to His word.

Because the world is so flamboyant and theatrical we begin to hold God to the world's standard, which is completely out of line. For months now I have been dreaming, of fish, new babies, marriage and relocation. Well last night when all of it happened in the same dream, I was like God what in the world are you trying to tell me that I am missing. As I sit in my car this morning reading 2 Cor. 7: 7-11, I remembered this that God makes no mistakes and that whatever He does or allows to happen to us or in our lives; He is not sorry about it. So then I remembered that my friend DK in leaving here left me a cozy sweater and a book. I ran up here looking for the book in looking for the book I was speaking with a co-worker and I told her of the dreams immediately she went back to what I have been hearing all year, that God is birthing something new in you, that He wants to use to be fisher of men. That all of it means that it's time for you to move into what He has for you. She then shared with me a story she read on a blog. That this lady was telling this author that I brought and read your book the problem is your book was my book, you published my book. In short this lady didn't know the author but God gave her something that she chose to do nothing with, however God used a willing vessel and what could have and should have been hers, she forfeited. UNDERSTAND, God didn't take it back, she gave it away by not doing what He said. I don't know who besides me this is for, God wants to bless you and you are about to hand it over to someone else by not listening to what He has said. All the blood, sweat and tears you put into this and you are about to hand it over on a platter to someone who only just walked up at the right time. You have fought this fight for years and now you walk away saying I fought a good fight. What about the win you are going to forfeit the prize and all that comes with it?

I am not sure what it is, but I know this is mine and I am not giving it away no matter what it looks like to others. I am going to get what's mine and some more because I am going to persevere through this thing and whoever you are I pray that you don't take this as rambling, and you do the same. Get ready God is moving and don't miss your chance to get your blessing that has your name on it. Don't let pride, people, jobs or anything stand in the way, because as I always say spectators are going to be spectators either way.

Blessed to Be A Blessings,
