I Need a Touch From You

As I scrolled through my words for today, I was lifted as I read this one down below, because last night I lay tired, weary, worn, thinking when God, I didn't get an immediate response. It's so amazing how I drifted off to sleep awaiting an answer He would use an email to give me comfort. I know nobody wants to admit that they are broken, nobody wants to save hey I am saved but I am struggling. Well, I stand before you to tell you that having an anointing cost. Having a gift can be a burden, why because to whom much is given much is required. I know from personal experience that God's children are in a spiritual battle at this time. I don't know about you all but I like to keep it real before God. So I cry and I tell Him, you know what I am mad about it, I don't understand it, I need you to help me forgive, I need you to show me how to let it all go. You might be thinking well that's nerve, no it's real and God knows that I feel it all anyway. He doesn't take His hands off me, instead He touches me and gives me the comfort I stand in need of.

David is one of my favorites of the BIBLE because he too, knew that God wanted real and meek. Even in his sins David would wallow before God, humble seeking God and every time God showed up. Seeking God requires humility and transparency. So today whatever it is that you may be struggling with, ask God for His help. He may not answer us the way we want, He may close a door that you wanted open, He may let a relationship fall apart that you were standing for, He may say no to a job that you wanted and really needed, but guess what He has a ram in the bush. Your children may still seem to go there own way but remember if you trained them up then the word says they'll come back to what they know. Someone I love dearly said to me last night, your blessings won't always be delivered directly to your door, so accept them how He gets them to you. Well that gave me such a peace. A peace I needed when I felt like I was loosing all control, only to remember my life is in His hands and He has control even when I am feeling like a tumbleweed.

I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

There comes a point where there are not more tears to cry. The sadness remains, but the waters dry up. It is in this calm after the storm that we can make sense of things. David cried unto the Lord often. He needed to vent the emotions and pressures that built up inside him. Being the king of a headstrong people was not easy. David experienced periods of intense joy, but also of excruciating heartache. He learned the value of a purging cry. In moments of desperation, David let down all his defenses to stand exposed before God. In those times, God was sure to come to him and offer David all the comfort he needed. In our times of desperation, the Lord will give us comfort, too.

Prayer: When there are not more tears to cry, Lord, fill me with Your peace and consolation, Father. Amen.

I HOPE YOU DANCE

Read Psalm 51: 1-8

On yesterday, I was talking to my brother and we were talking about this song "I Hope You Dance." We talked about how Tyler Perry developed an entire movie around the song. Well tonight, I tuned into an on line bible study and what does the pastor preach on dancing. She walks us through Psalm 51 and tells us how sometimes we stop dancing because we can't hear the music anymore. Well David who loved to dance who danced out of his clothes asked God in verse 8 to let him hear again. This makes me think that we look at our situations and we stop dancing not because the music stopped playing but in our brokenness we stopped hearing. Lord, I pray that everyone reading this word, knows this that God is still on the dance floor called life. You may have walked off or changed partners, but go back the partner you left the one that matters is still on the floor. Dancing is a form of worship and I am so glad I love to dance. Dancing has gotten me in trouble, but now I dance for God, so it doesn't matter if I am still on the floor when the sun comes up. Glory.

You may say what can be biblical about I HOPE YOU DANCE, well in the word God says I will turn your mourning into dancing. He intended for us to dance. So what you lost the job, dance, so what they walked out of your life dance, so what they talked about you dance. You drive a hoopty and not Mercedes dance, you live in a shack and not a mansion dance. This door closed another one will open so dance.

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance

That's right it may look bleak right now, but if you hold on to the faith, then you my friend should be dancing. I surely hope you dance.

Sometimes

Sometimes people smile at you,
but they are hating on you.
Sometimes people walk with you,
but they aren't going where you going.
Sometimes when you dance you have to take the lead,
sometimes when you dance you have to follow,
sometimes when you dance you have to dance to beat of your own drum.
There are people who will justify their hate,
Their hate "you" it will elevate.
There are times when your heart breaks, there are times when your heart sings.
The point of it all is that you live, and you live like you know the reason why,
You live because you know that there is home for you beyond the sky.
I live to love and I love to live
I thank God for all the blessings that He daily gives.
I thank Him for grace,mercy and favor.
So remember that if they smile at you or not,
if they can't or won't go where you go
If you have to dance all by yourself
Know that you serve a God who is always present unless you placed Him on the shelf.

Pursue the Blessing

For those who get the email you get a little extra, sometimes we get anxious and we pursue blessings that aren't ours, sometimes we get lazy and miss out on blessings, so if you would develop the relationship with the Father when you ask He will answer. Ask for discernment and wisdom. I can't tell you the time that has been wasted on people and things because we were doing what we wanted too, rather than asking God.

When David got back to Ziglag he found a hot mess literally, things had been set on fire, homes destroyed,families taken. He could of looked at it and just threw his hands up and gave up. No he sought the Father, he asked should he pursue? God said yes, so he pursued, now everybody that was with him, didn't go with him, many got to a certain point and didn't go any further. Well when David got to his blessing not only did he get what they took he got all they had too. Imagine that because he pursued his blessing, he got that and more, enough even to share with those who couldn't go with him. So what are you waiting on, some blessings require you to pursue them, but ask God first. - Blessed to Be A Blessing Shon

Go Get Your Blessing

something that you are believing God for is waiting on you to happen. You see there was this blind man that wanted, needed to see. He didn't sit quietly praying thinking surely Jesus is going to see me over here and come over. No as soon as he felt the change in the atmosphere, he started hollering, he got up and went to Jesus even though those around wanted him to be quiet, he refused. No he went and got his blessing. Now for you, yes you the one thinking that if I ask in His name, it'll be done. Well guess what the paraplegic's friends took him to Jesus, the woman with the issue of blood went to her blessing. I am simply saying that sometimes we have to go get our blessing. As my spiritual mom said yesterday we won't so much from God but we don't want to do nothing but sit and wait on God to show up and shower us. Faith takes action. You get the blessing God expects you to walk in it not lay down and look at it. Again-ACTION- Blessed to be a Blessing- SHON

What In This World Are You Waiting On?

When you talk to most people they tell you of a plan they have and usually follow with but I am waiting on the right time. Well I came to tell you, all you with a plan that your time is now. What in this world are you waiting on? Some of you have been sitting on the plan so long, it has changed countless times. In my mind it's like having a baby, I hear people say we are waiting on the perfect time. There is never a perfect time to have a baby. Yes it helps to be financially secure, but that won't help with issues such as giving the baby enough of your time, love and affection, because you are working so hard to give the baby material things. I hear people who want to start a business say they are waiting on the right opportunity well, I say TRUST GOD, in this economy can we ever pin point a right opportunity. I believe that if we step out in FAITH, God will create a need for what you have and therefore the time is NOW. We have to remember saints that we are living in this world but not of this world. If you are reading this know that your time to act on the thing you have been pondering for so long is now. FAITH is NOW and NOW is IMMEDIATELY, so again I ask what in this world are you waiting on? Look at this in John 5: 1-9 Jesus came to the pool at Bethesda and he noticed the lame man who had been there 38 years. Jesus asked Him did He want to be healed, he started giving Jesus this spill about nobody would help him, Jesus wasn't hearing that, Jesus said pick up your bed and walk. The man did immediately. What I get from this, we can't be sitting around waiting for others who are in need of a blessing to try and help us get ours when they are in need of one too. Look at what he said, nobody will put me in, well they were all there for the same thing healing, it was already known that when the angel troubled the water whoever got in first got the healing the blessing. Come on now, how many are going to push you in before they get theirs, real talk here. The other day at work every time I walked to the elevator to get on the door was already opened, no need to push the button to call it, it was there waiting on me. Going in the direction I was going. Later I was talking to God and I mentioned the doors, He said I am letting you know that I am opening doors for you that no man can close. I was excited. He said, because you are acting on NOW, people are going to bless you because of who you are. Your family is going to be blessed because you are in it. I was like wow, God said are you ready, I said yes, He said walk. So after all this excitement, I was a bit muffled when I got off yesterday and I got to the elevator it wasn't opened. I pushed the button the elevator arrived filled to the brim, I waited a second pushed a button the second one came again filled to the brim. Immediately it dropped in my spirit you can take the stairs. Walking down the stairs I was thinking, why are there so many twist in these stairs. As I reached my floor, and headed to my car, this fell in my spirit. I already know the plans I have for you, I already know your final destination. There will be times on this journey that I take you on a route that makes no sense to you but trust ME, and you will end up just where I want you. Oh, I got so excited because again God was saying I got you. If you just TRUST ME, and keep acting on NOW, really soon, everybody is going to see that I have had my hand on you the entire time. I am going to restore what needs to be restored, resurrect what needs resurrecting, deliver what needs to be delivered. I don't need you looking back trying to see who or what to take just walk with me, I have everything you need already there waiting on you. Where is there, there is my destiny, the plan, the purpose. Again I ask you, what are you waiting on to move on your now? People aren't going to give you the blessing if they think it's the only one. So you better move on your now. My problem may not be yours and yours is not your neighbors, to each of us they are important and need to be solved. God is no respecter of persons so move on your NOW and let Him do what He does. No Conversation Needed

Jesus spoke to everything that needed changing He spoke to it, no long drawn out conversation. He knew He was in control and never let the circumstance think it had a choice. He told the fig tree to die, it withered up, He told Peter, COME and Peter walked on water, He told Lazarus come forth, and Lazarus came, He told Jarius' daughter get up and she did, He told the lame man take up your bed and walk and he did immediately. He told the wind, and the rain be still and everything ceased to move. Well, He also said greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. That means you need to speak to your circumstance and not have a conversation. Speak to it with the power you were given and it can't talk back unless it's saying YES. - Blessed to Be a Blessing SHON

Now

I have been in this place, this place I have been in too long. Today, as I was sitting quietly again thinking about where I am I heard a voice the voice of God and He whispered in my ear My Child NOW. I said God, I don't even see how I can move, this is this and that is that Again He said My child Now. All of a sudden I realized, He didn't want to hear my excuses, He wanted me to trust Him and move on His word. Again He simply reached out a hand and said Now. So I picked up my things, I didn't look back, I spoke to the problem and said you and I are through and that's the simple facts. Immediately everything started to lineup I took my rightful place, I was no longer bound by circumstances, I had spoken to my situation with authority and NOW I was living the life God intended for me. For the first time in a long time, things were great, things were just the way He intended them to be, I didn't frown,wine or complain about from whence I came they were all apart of the plan and because I went through it, God changed my name like Abram became Abraham, like Jacob became Israel I was now known as Victorious. Yes, He came and spoke one word and my will never be the same, I listened and heard Him in the midst of the crowd when He stood talked me and only said NOW. Shon Garner Cole 5-6-12

God Has Smiled On Me

In the last year so much has happened that could have, that probably should have made me bitter. I do have to say BUT GOD, God has smiled on me. What I have learned in the last year is there is definitely a difference in talking and walking. So many of us have the church language down, so many of us are walking around with a rehearsed and scripted praise. I am glad that my worship and praise are for real. I know what the songwriter meant when he penned, "I have had some good days, I have had some bad days, but I won't complain, he goes on to say that when he looks around and thinks things over all of his good days out weigh his bad days so he won't complain, God has been good to me he says, even though my weary eyes can't see." I love that song, I sang that song when my granny died, she died on Wednesday, that was my song on Sunday. The church couldn't believe I got through it. I could, because God had already showed me what the end was going to be. Then last year around this time, my world started to change. Yes, when I look at all that was going on and some of it still is I could and should be bitter. I am not because in the midst of it all God keeps sending me confirmation that He will fight my battles. Oh, for every bad thing that has happened I am telling you God smiles and says because she could have made me look bad and she didn't double. Glory, Shon Garner Cole, gets double again, and then again and then again. I am telling you, I keep hearing Oral Roberts singing something good is going to happen to you. Now here is the kicker, God ain't even finished yet. He has so much in store for me. So, I can't tell you the complete story until I get to the end. I can tell you that His mercy endures forever, that they really are brand new every day. That when you diligently seek Him,He rewards you. So today know that not only has God smiled on me, He has probably smiled on you too. When adversity comes, know this, that it shall pass you decide how fast. If I were in control of my life, then would have gone so differently but today as I sit here, right here where I am; I am grateful that I am not. Because all the adversity of the last year has made me a much better person. I stronger person, and I know that I know that God talks to me, and I so happy that I make Him happy enough that He smiles on me.
