For I know the plans, I have for you, says the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11 NIV
We all go through a process, going through this process is a part of God's plan for our purpose. A lot of times we get impatient because we make plans and things don't go according to plan. As a child I planned what my life would be like as and adult. In my plan there was no hurt, no pain, everything was great. I was going to be a wife, a mother, have a big house and help anyone that needs my help my job was going to be one that I loved I was going to be a psychiatrist. Being a psychiatrist would allow me to fix the people that were broken and needed my help. Well as I got older I saw that things don't always go as planned.
Yes, I became a wife and mother. I have a nice house and I would like to believe I help people.. Am I psychiatrist, no. Has my life been pain free and hurt free, no.
You see I didn't take into account or consideration that God knew His plans for me, and that by allowing Him to be Lord of my life I had to go through the process to get to the purpose He had for me. Yes, I am a wife, yes I am a mother, yes I have a job, yes I help people. Sometimes people I don't want to help. Yes I have experienced pain and hurts, physical and emotional. I have been broken, bruised and battered but I am still here. Not a part of my plan but Gods. Now you will look at the scripture and think that because it says not for disaster that there would be no pain, no bad days. Well that's why we can't just take out of the bible what we want close it and put it on the shelf. There is so much more in there that brings us to our purpose but getting to our purpose is a process. You see gold does not start out as pure gold it has to go through a process a fire so hot and uncomfortable but when the process is over,it's pure gold
. We don't start out intending to have a bad day, have things that get in our way throw us off course, but this verse says, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Now I guess you are saying God make up your mind. He has life is a process and you are to live it with purpose.
I know that you are probably thinking how can I live it with purpose if God keeps allowing stuff to happen. You may feel that you have been duped and this Christian life ain't all that great. I see people who are not hollering about our God and they seem to be just chucking along. It;s a trick of the enemy. The only purpose worth living for is God's purpose. Paul said: "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:14). If you live with this goal in mind, God will change the way you live. You will stop just being alive and you will start to really live. You will live the abundant life through God's grace because you aren't just living for yourself anymore. You are not here for you, but for God. Which means everything that happens is a part of His process. So how do I speed up this process and get past all this hurt, pain, inconvenience, people lying on me, people using me up and walking away? It's all apart of the process but troubles don't last always. You can get off the roller coaster of emotions that comes when you live according to your circumstances. Even when things are bad, you are good because God is good and again it's a part of the process and the path to get you to the purpose.
God always supplies that which He has ordained. If you are outside of His purpose, you have to take care of yourself. But if you are walking in His purpose, He will meet all your needs.Following God's purpose may not change your place in life, but it will change the way you live your life.
So remember that though things may not seem to be going according to your plan they are going according to His, and every trial you encounter is a part of the purpose. Getting the desired purpose requires a process. If you want a great meal, there is a process to preparing it before you can eat it. So even if you are not the one who prepared the meal, someone did, and that simply means they were a part of your purpose. They were a step in the process to get you to your desired purpose.
Blessed to Be A Blessing,
