As We Slept the Night Away

"It's morning and we slept the night away, yes we've stolen this moment, we can't turn back the hands of time, we forgot to face on simple fact we both belong to someone else as we slept the night away". I believe those are the right words, penned by Shirley Murdock and then Kelly Price. I don't know if they even knew the reality and scriptural implications of the words. But here it goes so many times we play with the enemy, we lay down with the enemy stealing moments hardly ever with the intention of getting so caught up that we sleep there all night. For some it really is one night, for some that night goes on and on and on. You see we want to profess I am a Christian, I love the Lord, some of us are card carrying, bible toting, speaking in tongue Christians and we get caught up in that stolen moment. At that time our flesh wins and tells us nobody will know. We forget we belong to someone else (GOD) and most importantly we forget that others may not know, but God knows, and so do you. Check this out, so many of us think we are doing something that has never been done before, well the word says there is nothing new under the sun. So your night with the enemy may have been drugging all night, someone else may have committed the most heinous of crimes. someone else literally slept with the one that was forbidden. No one really knows but you and God. There are times when we end up in these situations unbeknownst to us, like David, sleeping in Saul's house, when David went in he went with the entent of doing what he was asked to do, little did he know that he was sleeping with the enemy. Then there are those of us like Samson we knowingly sleep with the enemy playing the game thinking we can out smart out maneveur the enemy. Look how he got all caught up. I don't know what your enemy is and I don't want you to forget that it's really not a secret the one who has the ability to put you in heaven or hell knows. Some of us really do forget about the fact that we belong to someone else, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Then there are those with that I am going to do it just this one time and before you know it, it's morning and you have slept the night away. You got into this mess with the intent that this will only be for a few hours and the next thing you know the sun is coming up, where did that time go? Now, before you think oh this is not for me because she is talking about adultery, fornicating, sleeping with folks, but know this, this covers so much more people and sin is sin. The stolen phone calls to him/her when God has already blessed you with a spouse, the phone call where you gossip and complain, the stealing, the drugging, the over indulgence of whatever you over indulge in; all of it is sin. I don't want to weigh you down, but before you get in that bed, remember you can't take the moment back. Some of us may at this time have no regrets about what we are doing, but we are making justifications to do it, red flag. I beseech you all to wake up it's morning time. Get out of bed with the enemy. Don't let another night come where you slumber with the wrong one. Whoever or whatever your enemy is - the thing that will keep you from reaching the mark, keep you from spending eternity with God, let it or them go. It's morning so wake-up and open the door to your mind, heart, soul, house and kick the enemy out. Don't sleep another night away with the enemy. Remember time lost will be no more.
